What is Maternity Photography?
Maternity photography is beautiful, uplifting and life affirming. It allows you to focus on the new life your body is working so hard to create. It’s an all too brief moment in time that can remind you of the excitement that accompanies having a baby.
Generally, maternity portraits are taken between 26-34 weeks. This is when your belly is nice and round and you are not too exhausted and uncomfortable.
What to Wear for Maternity Portraits
You have access to my dress closet or you can bring your own. I have dresses, bodysuits and flowing wrap material. If you would like to buy your own dress, my recommendations are Silk Fairies, Mii Estilo, Sew Trendy, Chicaboo and Katharina Hakaj Couture. If you would rather rent a dress, rentals can be seen at Mama Bump Rentals.
Hair and makeup
I have worked with several professional hair and makeup artists who understand photography makeup and how it differs from everyday makeup. They can come to you or they can meet us at the studio’s hair and makeup room. Please let me know if this is something you would like. If not, please arrive to the studio hair and makeup ready.
Partner and Other Children
Partners and other children you have are always encouraged to participate in the session.
Extra Images and Deposits
If you would like extra images, you must upgrade to the next collection prior to your session date. I shoot for how many images you have chosen to purchase. A 50% deposit is required to schedule with the remainder being due on the date of your photoshoot.

Your Maternity Portrait Session is up to 2 hours with 2-3 background set ups.
This session includes 15 hand retouched digital images of your choice.
10 fine art 8×10 prints or two 16×24 prints.

This session includes 10 high resolution, hand edited digital images and one 16×24 or 16×20 or 16×16 (depending on the crop) fine art print of your choice on velvet art paper. This print is dry mounted on foam core board ready for framing.
